Kanika Gupta Shori

Kanika Gupta Shori is the founder & COO of Square Yards, India’s largest real estate marketplace, Square Yards is an Online to Offline (O2O) transaction platform that helps simplify the home buying process by providing end to end solutions for homebuyers. Square Yards has become India’s largest distributor of “new homes” with 2700 employees and presence across 10 countries and 40 cities in just 5 years since its inception. The platform facilitates USD $1 billion in gross transactions annually, driving USD $30 million in annualized revenue and is one of the few Indian startups to be operating at EBITDA break-even.

Kanika is a Wharton Business School alumni, CFA Level 2 candidate & Bachelor in Economics from Delhi University. She is a highly qualified professional with over 11 years of experience & has dabbled in fields of asset management and entertainment before starting Square Yards. She is a mother of two boys & while bringing up her kids, she used to invest family wealth in other startups as an angel investor.

Kanika is a multi-talented and versatile personality who has been associated with various social causes related to women empowerment & children welfare. She has she has garnered significant media attention and has won several accolades including “Young Achiever,” “Woman Icon.” to name a few. She is a trained dancer in Salsa, Tango, Zumba & Kathak; in addition to being an avid traveller, having been to 6 continents, 40+ countries; is also an adventure sports enthusiast & a certified Scuba Diver by Padi. She has done cage diving with sharks in the Pacific Ocean, explored ship wrecks in Java Sea, dived in caves of Indian Ocean & seen corals of Great Barrier Reef & Red Sea.
